PORT TOWNSEND — The results of the investigation into the Aug. 4 fire that destroyed historical Aldrich’s grocery in uptown should be in the hands of the county prosecutor this week.
Police Chief Kristen Anderson said she thought the paperwork was finished Sept. 5, but on Monday some updated fire investigation reports came into her office.
“I’m reviewing them now and then I’ll hand deliver them to the prosecutor,” she said.
Police have said three juveniles started the blaze when they lighted some cardboard recyclables next to the 940 Lawrence St. grocery.
