PORT TOWNSEND — The City Council discussed an ordinance that would ban fireworks in Port Townsend at their meeting Monday night.
But council members decided to postpone a decision to gather more public comment on the matter.
The council voted unanimously to delay taking action on a proposed ordinance to ban fireworks until its June 17 meeting, partly because the ordinance had not undergone the council’s three-touch rule –the council must review an item three times before making a decision on it.
