PORT TOWNSEND — Ian Jablonski will present “History and Operation of the Port Townsend Olympic Gravity Water System” at 7 p.m. on Feb. 25.

Jablonski will discuss 28-mile-long water transmission system that was started in 1928 in partnership with the Crown Zellerbach paper mill and continues to be operated and maintained by the Port Townsend Paper Company under an agreement with the city.
Jablonski is the water resource operations manager for the city of Port Townsend.
The series has been jointly developed by the Jefferson County Historical Society, Port Townsend Public Library, the City of Port Townsend, the Port Townsend Paper Mill, KPTZ 91.9 and the Swan School.
