The list of finalists for the Fort Worden State Park manager’s position has been narrowed to three.
The three remaining finalists are Kate Burke, Jerry Cole and Jack Hartt, Washington State Parks spokeswoman Virginia Painter said.
The three are vying to replace Jim Farmer who retires Oct. 31. He’s been with the park since 1991.
Burke of Indianapolis, Ind., operates a tourism and conference consulting firm.
Cole is the recreation department manager for Port Angeles.
Hartt is Riverside State Park manager in Spokane.
State officials are completing background checks on the finalists.
The new park manager is expected to be named by the end of the month.
