Washington State Ferries is altering the run schedule between Port Townsend and Keystone for the next two weeks due to low tides.
Low tides are prompting the cancelation of the 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. runs to Keystone today as well as the 7:30 p.m. return trip.
An extra run from Port Townsend to Keystone will take place at 8:40 p.m.
On Friday, the 8:30 p.m. sailing and the 9:15 p.m. return trip have been replaced by a 9:15 p.m. sailing and 9:45 p.m. return trip.
Low tides will prompt cancellations of some sailings and return trips Dec. 29, Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 as well.
Low tides combine with cross-currents at Keystone to make docking difficult.
