CHIMACUM — A 66-year-old Port Townsend man was killed in a single-car crash on state Highway 19 near Embody Road about 5 miles south of Chimacum on Monday.
The State Patrol said this morning that John Harvey Doney II was killed when his 2007 Nissan Xterra veered across the southbound lane, went down an embankment and struck a tree.
The State Patrol and state Department of Transportation closed the road in both directions after the wreck.
There were no passengers in the vehicle, Hedstrom said.
