PORT TOWNSEND — The Boiler Room, 711 Water St., will host 711 Fun Street, a collection of short films presented by Silace Amaro and inspired by showings in Germany, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
The event at the youth-oriented nonprofit center is free and open to all ages.
Fun Street started as a weekly video night on Rigaer Street, Berlin, in 2004.
These events consisted of remixed corporate training videos, subversive music videos, horses campaigning for president, zombie chickens and 3-D popcorn fights.
Revisiting some of these now vintage digital bytes juxtaposed with more contemporary mutating cows, bad lip reading, historic rap battles, horses campaigning for president and kitten videos, the evening is bound to bend some amusement, according to a news release.
