PORT TOWNSEND — Local cheesemakers Mt. Townsend Creamery and Mystery Bay Farm recently collaborated on a new “mixed milk” cheese, “Mt. Mystery,” to mark Mt. Townsend Creamery’s 10th year of artisan cheesemaking.
The creamery plans to celebrate the anniversary at the Port Townsend Artisan Food Festival with free curds and cheese tastings, and the release of its new cheese Saturday, May 28.
Five-ounce wheels, 440 of them, were produced and made with Mt. Townsend’s cow milk and goat milk from Mystery Bay farm.
It will be available at the festival, selected farmers markets and Mt. Townsend’s tasting room as supplies last.
