PORT TOWNSEND –When Marge Olson was a girl growing up in Seattle, she received a special gift from her grandfather in California — a small wooden chalet he had carved himself.
On Sunday, Olson got to see and hear one of her grandfather’s larger legacies — the tracker pipe organ he built for the congregation of First Presbyterian Church in 1889.
“I was overwhelmed,” Olson said. “Both the music and the organ itself were magnificent.”
A Brinnon resident, Olson and her husband, Folke, came to Port Townsend for the rededication of the church’s refurbished organ.
