PORT TOWNSEND — The League of Women Voters of Jefferson County will host an online forum featuring candidates for Port Townsend City Council on July 16.
The candidates, all vying for Council Position 1, are Fred Obee, Mikki Porter and Dylan Quarles.
In preparation for the forum, the league is inviting city residents to submit questions for the candidates. Questions may be submitted by email to lwvjeffcowa@gmail.com no later than noon on July 14.
The league states that, “concise, unbiased questions directly related to the job, its policies and the leadership skills required will be given priority and similar questions will be combined.”
Questions will not be released to any candidates in advance of the forums, the league said.
A link to the forum will be posted at www.lwvwa.org/Jefferson not later than July 1, and KPTZ 91.9 FM will simulcast the forum and livestream it at www.kptz.org.
