PORT TOWNSEND — When Fletcher Bailey agreed to be interim executive director of Centrum, he didn’t plan to stay longer than six months.
On Tuesday, saying Centrum “grew on me,” Bailey accepted the offer from the arts and creative education foundation to drop the “interim” from the title.
Bailey replaces Carol N. Shiffman, who resigned unexpectedly in mid-October after leading Centrum for five years.
Centrum President Cindy Hill Finnie said Bailey’s energy and vision made it clear to the board of directors that he was the right person to move the organization forward.
