PORT TOWNSEND — Thousands of motorcyclists and one “Easy Rider” are coming to town this weekend.
Brad “Cheech” Gehring of Bremerton is leading the third Biker Blues Blast Friday and Saturday at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
He expects at least a thousand motorcyclists and between 2,500 and 5,000 people to attend. This is the first time the gathering has been in Port Townsend and Gehring said he’s excited about the venue.
Gehring wasn’t aware that the Port Townsend Film Festival was also going on this weekend and that Peter Fonda, star of the 1969 cult classic “Easy Rider,” will be in town.
“That’s pretty cool,” Gehring said when learning of the star’s visit. “That’s a classic.”
