PORT TOWNSEND — The city has received the last piece of the funding puzzle to build a new 11,500-square-foot fire station.
Port Townsend was presented with a $1.8 million grant by Federal Emergency Management Agency Regional Director John Pennington and Washington State Emergency Management Division Recovery Unit Manager Diane Offord.
The grant covers about 75 percent of the $2.2 million project, City Manager Dave Timmons said Monday.
Another 12.5 percent will be covered by the state. The remainder will come from the city.
