The Port Ludlow Festival offers a mix of patriotism and celebration this weekend.
The event, sponsored by Port Ludlow Village Council, begins today, Sept. 13, and continues through Sunday, Sept. 15.
Athletic events will start the festival with a golf tournament, Timberton Loop hike, and synchronized swimming event. The official opening ceremony will be on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. and will include a salute to the flag, opening prayer and patriotic music by Port Ludlow’s Choral Belles.

Friday, Sept. 13
10 a.m.: Cunningham Memorial Hike (meet at Village Center)
Noon: Golf tournament
1 p.m.: Timberton Loop Hike (meet at trail head)
4 p.m.: Synchronized swimming (Beach Club)
Saturday, Sept. 14
10 a.m.: Official opening
10:45 a.m.: Chimacum High School cheerleaders
11:30 a.m.: U.S. Navy Northwest Band
1 p.m.: Timberton Loop Hike and Cunningham Trail Hike
* Ling Hui Chinese dancers
2 p.m.: Vinnie’s Polka Band
3 p.m.: O’Meara dancers
4 p.m.: Yesango Marimba Band
5 p.m.: Naki’i Hawaiian Band and dancers
7:30 p.m.: Candle light memorial procession and ceremony
Sunday, Sept. 15
10 a.m.: Festival opens
10:30 a.m.: Chimacum High School
11:30 a.m.: U.S. Army Band
1 p.m.: Port Ludlow Line Dancers
1:30 p.m.: Washington Old Time Fiddlers
