PORT HADLOCK — Hadlock Days is kicking off this year with a coronation ceremony to pick royalty for the first time ever.
The ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 31 Matheson St., Port Hadlock. There is a $5 admission fee.
Four Tri-Area girls are vying for the Miss Hadlock Days title, organizer Anita Varsos said.
“This is our very first royal court,” Varsos said.
“Hadlock Days, however, has been going on for years and years.”
The community celebration will take place July 19-20 this year.
