Two restored World War II bombers will be available for tours and flights at William R. Fairchild International Airport today, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress and Consolidated B-24J Liberator are part of the nonprofit Collings Foundation’s nationwide “Wings of Freedom” tour.
Visitors can tour the inside of both aircraft from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. today, 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday.
A donation of $8 for adults and $4 for children is suggested. Those wanting a 30-minute flight can reserve a spot with a tax-deductible donation of $400. For reservations, phone 978-562-9182.
