PORT ANGELES — Two more preliminary subdivisions totaling 44 lots were recommended for approval by the Planning Commission at its Wednesday night meeting.
If the tracts are built, the two developments would result in the improvement of West 10th Street with ditches and walkways between N Street and Milwaukee Drive, plus the development of part of the former Ennis Creek Estates subdivision that never was built.
The Mountain View Estates subdivision proposed by Darrel Vincent consists of 33 lots on 10 acres in the 2300 block of West 10th Street in the city’s RS-9 residential single family zone.
The RS-9 zone has a minimum lot size of 9,000 square feet and allows one house per 7,000 square feet, except for an accessory apartment.
Project conditions
One of the project’s 10 conditions includes improving West 10th Street including walkways and ditches between Milwaukee Drive and N Street. Water, sewer and electrical service also will be required along with fire hydrants and stormwater controls.
The other proposal by William and Carol Ludwick consists of 11 lots on five acres north of the intersection of DelGuzzi Drive and Lindberg Road, also in the RS-9 zone.
The five acres is part of the failed 32.29-acre Ennis Creek Estates development, located on both sides of DelGuzzi Drive, bounded by Ennis Creek, Lindberg Road, Peninsula Golf Course and U.S. Highway 101.
