PORT ANGELES: TRIPLE FATAL TO BE REVIEWED FOR POSSIBLE CHARGES

PORT ANGELES — Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney Deborah Kelly said Friday she would review reports of a July 3 car crash to determine if charges should be brought against the driver who was reported to have crossed the median and hit another car.

Two men and a 7-year-old girl died in the wreck.

“When we get the report we will review it for potential charges,” Kelly said.

At about 1 p.m., a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Ericka L. Larson, 27, of Port Angeles crossed the centerline of U.S. Highway 101 east of town, said police. Larson was not wearing a seatbelt, State Patrol reported.

Larson’s SUV struck a 2005 Toyota 4Runner driven by Abani M. Biswas, 43, of Beaverton, Ore.

Biswas, along with his 7-year-old daughter Ankita Biswas, died later at the hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Two other passengers in Biswas vehicle, son Abheek Biswas, 3, and wife Alakananda Biswas, 35, were taken to the hospital.

Killed in Larson’s vehicle were her boyfriend, 39-year-old Robert J. Norman, Jr. It’s unknown if Norman was wearing a seatbelt, State Patrol reported.

Larson and Norman’s two daughters, 9-month-old Allison B. Norman and 3-year-old Emily L. Norman, were hospitalized for treatment of burns and head trauma. The two girls were wearing restraints at the time of the crash.
