PORT ANGELES — The six finalists for the Port of Port Angeles’ executive director opening arrive today for two days of tours, meetings, interviews and a social hour on Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday, the six will be given a site tour of Port properties; attend three simultaneous meetings with the stakeholder, management and staff advisory committees; and be guests of honor at a social hour to meet the public from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the public meeting room of John Wayne Marina, 2577 W. Sequim Bay Road.
Then Tuesday, the candidates will interview with each of the three Port commissioners during an executive session scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. at Port headquarters, 330 W. First St., Port Angeles.

The six finalists were chosen from 18 semifinalists to replace retiring Executive Director Clyde Boddy. The list had been reduced from 68 original applicants.
The six candidates come from the Port of Port Angeles itself as well as the Ports of Tacoma and Everett on Puget Sound, Kennewick in Eastern Washington, Camas-Washougal in Southwestern Washington and Maryland.
