PORT ANGELES — State Department of Corrections officers are still seeking a convicted Level 2 sex offender who disappeared from the department’s supervision about two weeks ago.
Kevin Haynes Corning, 30, who also goes by Kevin Doty, has been convicted of second-degree and third-degree rape of a child. Corrections officers say he preys on young girls and convinces them to have sex with him.
Officers have handed out fliers to local businesses, contacted Corning’s family members and checked elsewhere looking for him.
“So far, we’ve had no luck,” Community Corrections Officer Lourene O’Brien said Friday.
