PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District has announced that all the district support staff previously housed in the Central Services Building have been moved into the Lincoln Center, 905 W. Ninth St.
According to a press release, the cost-saving move was authorized by the district’s board of directors at a May 23 meeting.
The Lincoln Center, formerly called the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center, now houses the departments of Teaching and Learning, Business and Operations, Human Resources, Payroll and Personnel, and Special Services as well as the superintendent’s office.
Additionally, the school board will hold its meetings there.
The center also houses some staff from Olympic Educational Support District No. 114 and the Caring for Kids Clothing Closet.
The old Central Services Building and its surrounding property will be put up for sale.
