PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School Board will meet Thursday night, the first meeting on a new 2013-14 schedule that changes the board’s meeting night.
Through the end of June, the board has met on Monday nights, but the schedule is expected to allow late changes to meeting agendas with time for public notification before the meetings.
A 2013-14 schedule of second and fourth Thursdays was adopted in April, and the first meeting on the new schedule will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Central Services Building, 216 E. Fourth St.
At the meeting, the board will be asked to:
■ Set a special meeting to discuss the 2013-14 budget, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on July 25, at the Central Services Building.
■ Approve the 2013-14 food service contract with Sodexo America LLC, which includes a provision that requires 30 percent of the fresh produce used in school meals be purchased from local producers, with a 5 percent increase in local purchases per year
■ Approve Torres Real Estate, 216 E. Fourth St., as the official relator to list and represent the Fairview Elementary School property.
