ANACORTES — Port Angeles High School hit seven home runs in three games to improve to 8-0 in Narrows League baseball action and 11-1 overall this weekend.
The Roughriders swept Anacortes in a nonleague doubleheader on Saturday afternoon behind homers from Jordan Tschimperle, Colin Anderson and Matt Johnson.
Down 8-4 in the seventh inning with two outs and nobody on, Port Angeles loaded the bases on a single and two walks for Tschimperle.
Tschimperle nailed the first pitch he saw to tie the game with a grand slam.
It was his second homer of the game. The first was a solo shot in the first.
The Riders proceeded to load the bases again in the seventh and Matt Lane and Nate Gossard hit back-to-back RBI-singles to win the game.
Colin Anderson added a three-run home run in the second inning.
