PORT ANGELES — Pili Meyer recently attended the Malaysian Annual Real Estate Convention in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in her capacity as the National Association of Realtors’ president’s liaison to Malaysia.
She was accompanied by her husband, David; National Association of Realtors President Ron Phipps and his wife, Susan; the group’s regional coordinator for Southeast Asia, Gail Lyons, and association staff member Jeff Horberger.
Meyer is a broker at Coldwell Banker Uptown Realty in Port Angeles.
She has served as local and state president as well as an officer of the National Association of Realtors.
At the conference, Meyer made a presentation on “The Day in the Life of an American Realtor.”
“The two-day conference presented an opportunity for the National Association of Realtors to carry its message of home ownership and private property rights to Malaysia,” Meyer said.
According to Meyer, the Malaysian audience was intrigued by the electronic lockbox system used by U.S. real estate agents.
It allows agents to access a listed home without interfering with the owners’ use and emails the listing agent with a notice of the showing.
