PORT ANGELES — A potluck Friday evening will start this weekend’s Port Angeles Pride events, all of which are open to the gay-lesbian-transgender community as well as their allies.
The potluck will start at 6 p.m. Friday at the Dream Playground, across from Civic Field at Race and Third streets.
Organizers Angie and Clay River said the potluck will feature face-painting, tarot readings and other activities.
“This will just be a casual gathering,” added Angie. “Bring a dish, hang out, let the kiddos run and play.”
The Rivers also are planning two more Port Angeles Pride activities open to the whole community.
The True Colors Cabaret, a performance-art revue open to the 21-and-older crowd, will start at 8 p.m. Saturday, and the Glitter Ball dance party will follow at 10 o’clock that same night.
Both events, hosted by the Rebels on Stage performance art group, will be on the Alle Stage at Studio Bob, upstairs at 118½ E. Front St.
A $10 admission charge covers both the cabaret and the dance party.
