PORT ANGELES — The dog which appeared inside a vehicle last week and has wowed its hosts with its ability to open pop bottles and car doors has found a permanent home.
Trixey, aka Piddles, a 10-year-old pit bull/shepherd mix, will stay with the family it adopted, the dog’s owner decided.
On Wednesday, the day a story and photos about the dog appeared in the Peninsula Daily News, Andy Draine contacted the people who the dog “adopted” and said the dog belonged to his brother, Wally.
Wally Draine, who lives on Deer Park Lane, about two miles up Deer Park Road west of Port Angeles, broke both legs in a fall two months ago and is currently recovering in Vancouver, Wash., his brother said.
