PORT ANGELES — City police Wednesday were still searching for John Kerrigan, a 73-year-old dementia patient who has been missing since Sunday afternoon.
Kerrigan was last seen at his residence at the Arlene Engel Home at 138 W. Second St.
He is described as 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue winter jacket and a light-blue beanie cap.
Kerrigan is considered missing and endangered, meaning city police would be alerted if he were stopped by another law enforcement agency.
No solids leads
Port Angeles Deputy Police Chief Brian Smith said citizens have reported several possible sightings of Kerrigan, but police “haven’t established any solid evidence” of his whereabouts.
Kerrigan is not believed to have family in the area.
“We don’t have any positive information on his location,” Smith said.
“We greatly appreciate the public’s interest in the story,” he added.
“We’re just concerned about the gentleman’s well-being.”
Police are reviewing video surveillance footage of the Port Angeles waterfront to look for clues.
