PORT ANGELES — Police are seeking a white 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck owned by Scarsella Brothers, Inc., that was reported stolen this morning (Friday) after it was left unlocked and idling to warm up.
The Ford, which has a license plate number of B57182Y, was reported stolen from the 500 block of East Whidbey Avenue just east of the intersection with South Peabody Street at about 6:38 a.m., Brian Smith, Port Angeles deputy police chief, said.
“We’re told it was unlocked and driven away,” Smith said.
The extended cab truck has a Scarsella Brothers logo on the side, a tool box in the bed and a light on the top of the cab, Smith said.
It’s valued at more than $40,000, he added.
The truck was in use by a construction crew from the Kent-based company that was working on a state Department of Transportation project in the area, Smith said.
Anyone who sees this truck should call 9-1-1 and not approach it, Smith said.
Those with information about the theft are urged to call Officer Shane Martin or Sgt. Jesse Winfield at 360-452-4545.
