PORT ANGELES — Police have bought three new Chevrolet Impalas from a local dealer to use as patrol cars.
Purchased from Bill Koenig Chevrolet Oldsmobile Subaru, the cars will begin prowling the streets early next week after conversion work is completed.
The police department paid Koenig $59,016 for the three cars, which in turn generated about $4,800 in local sales tax revenue.
The Impalas replace three 10-year-old police vehicles.
