PORT ANGELES — Five poems by Port Angeles resident Judith A. Lindberg are included in an anthology, “Family Celebrations: Poems, Toasts and Traditions for Every Occasion.”
The book was compiled by June Cotner and Nancy Tupper Ling and published by Andrews McMeel Publishing.
Lindberg is a retired school counselor, who worked primarily at Franklin Elementary School for all but about one of her 27 years in the district, she said. She served as a counselor at the high school for one year.
Lindberg said she retired for the second time in 2009.
“ ‘Family Celebrations’ is a ‘gathering of gratitude’ that treasures our loved ones, to bring more love and closeness to family gatherings and everyday life,” Lindberg said in a press release.
Her poems in the book are “Always,” “Let Us Remember,” “Love Life,” “Arcs of Promise” and “What Children Need.”
Lindberg has been published in “To Have and To Hold,” “Miracles of Motherhood,” “Heal Your Soul Heal the World,” eight other books compiled by Cotner, in several educational magazines and other literary publications.
