Few people on the North Olympic Peninsula haven’t heard of Jim’s Pharmacy in Port Angeles.
After serving the local community for nearly 20 years, the owners are passing the torch to their son.
Barb and Jim Cammack celebrated their retirement with a cookie and punch gathering at the pharmacy, 424 E. Second St., on Friday.
Their son, Joe, 31, will continue the popular and successful family business.
He joined the staff while still in high school and later became a pharmacist, too.
Barb and Jim, both 57, have worked side-by-side and have built a reputation for personalized service in and out of the pharmacy.
Both have been leaders in community fund-raisers such as Festival of the Trees, Olympic Memorial Hospital Foundation and Arts in Action. They plan to stay active as volunteers.
