A woman crossing U.S. Highway 101 near Deer Park Cinemas was struck by a car and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center late Monday.
The woman’s name was not immediately available.
However, a Harborview Medical Center assistant nursing supervisor confirmed the woman was airlifted to Seattle from Olympic Memorial Hospital. Her condition was not available.
Washington State Patrol trooper Tom Anderson said Port Angeles resident Charlie Mays was the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman.
The trooper said Mays authorities that two women were crossing in the darkest part of the highway, about 100 feet east of C’est Si Bon restaurant.
