Flaggers and traffic delays on Peabody Street just south of First Street are on the horizon as a repaving project begins today and continues into August.
The project includes street excavation and paving, along with some curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement. It will smooth over a particularly rough section of pavement between First and Fifth streets, forcing one-lane travel at times.
Intermittent revisions to traffic, parking and pedestrian travel should be expected, according to city engineers.
