PORT ANGELES — Any future of the graving yard project will be discussed next week during a meeting with several state officials, City Manager Mike Quinn announced at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. in Port Angeles City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
Quinn said it will include state Department of Transportation officials, Transportation Secretary Doug MacDonald and members of the state Transportation Commission.
Quinn and the council also met in an executive session with City Attorney Bill Bloor following Tuesday’s open meeting to discuss potential litigation and agency enforcement actions.
Bloor said the city could be a party to litigation involving the graving yard because it issued several permits for the project based upon it being built.
Mayor Richard Headrick said the session was for discussion only and no action would taken following it.
