BRINNON — A Port Angeles man was taken to a Bremerton hospital after a motorcycle wreck 5 miles south of Brinnon.
Taylor C. Armstrong, 20, entered a curve, lost control of his motorcycle and slid into a guardrail at about 8:50 a.m. Thursday, the State Patrol said, adding that he was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
His condition was not available from Harrison.
Armstrong, riding a red 2012 Yamaha YXFR1, was southbound on U.S. Highway 101 near McDonald Cove south of Brinnon when he crashed, the State Patrol said.
A passer-by stopped and remained with Armstrong until emergency crews arrived, said Patrick Nicholson, Brinnon fire chief.
Nicholson said Armstrong had possible spinal injuries.
Troopers said the cause of the wreck was “speed too fast for conditions,” and Armstrong was cited for speeding.
Highway 101 was closed to traffic during the State Patrol investigation. It was reopened at 10:15 a.m.
Armstrong was wearing a helmet, and neither drugs nor alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the wreck, the State Patrol said.
