PORT ANGELES — Residents will have the opportunity tonight to ask questions and talk informally with members of the City Council.
The session, from 5 p.m. to 6 pm. at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., is the first in a series of monthly “Community Conversations.”‘
Tonight’s session will feature Mayor Karen Rogers, Deputy Mayor Larry Williams and Councilwoman Edna Petersen.
City spokeswoman Teresa Pierce also will be there to provide information and assistance.
The one-hour sessions are designed to be less formal and intimidating than the regular public comment sessions at City Council meetings.
Future sessions will be held at 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month and feature two or three council members.
Councilman Grant Munro and Councilwoman Betsy Wharton will host the next session on Dec. 12.
Councilmen Gary Braun and Richard Headrick will host the Jan. 9 session.
