PORT ANGELES — Hundreds of students toured multicultural displays, made arts and crafts and watched videos Monday afternoon at the Vern Burton Center to mark the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
Clallam County AmeriCorps, in conjunction with Northwest Services Council and the Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department, sponsored the four-hour Celebration of Diversity.
After “registering” in one of the six cultural regions — Europe, Far East, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and South Pacific — students received a “travel bag” and a “passport.”
