Michael Donald Stephens entered his plea last Tuesday during a hearing in Clallam County Superior Court.
Stephens is set to be sentenced July 16, with the county Prosecutor’s Office recommending a minimum prison term of 155 months, or just fewer than 13 years.
Stephens remained in the Clallam County jail Saturday with no bond set.
Stephens originally was charged with four counts of second-degree rape of a child, one count of third-degree rape of a child, one count of third-degree child molestation, one count of second-degree attempted rape of a child, one count of second-degree child molestation and one count of fourth-degree assault.
Stephen originally was alleged to have sexually and physically abused five children ranging in age from 9 to 15.
Port Angeles police had said they investigated reports of child abuse March 30 and, upon interviewing the children involved, arrested Stephens that evening after he returned to the home off Lauridsen Boulevard where the abuse reportedly occurred.
