PORT ANGELES — A 59-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash on Tumwater Truck Route on Sunday, police reported today.
John M. Fullerton of Port Angeles was found about 6 p.m. seriously injured lying in a ditch on the west side of the truck route — state Highway 117 — south of Marine Drive with a heavily damaged motorcycle nearby, police said.
Fire Department personnel administered emergency medical care and took him to Olympic Medical Center.
Fullerton was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he later died.
Cause of the crash is still under investigation.
