PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles man was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly stabbed a man on whose property he was staying with a kitchen knife multiple times last week.
The Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Nikolai Jared Logan, 21, six days after Logan allegedly attacked Douglas Baker, 60, at a residence on Ripplebrook Drive off Deer Park Road.
Logan, who remained in the Clallam County jail Tuesday on $100,000 bond, is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Friday in Clallam County Superior Court.
Baker said last weekend that he suffered deep cuts to the cheek and abdomen.
He was treated and discharged from Olympic Medical Center last Thursday night.

Logan, who was staying with Baker and his family on Ripplebrook Drive, got into an argument with Baker about household chores.
The fight escalated. Logan stabbed Baker with a kitchen knife multiple times and left the house.
Baker sustained lacerations and called 9-1-1 emergency dispatchers after Logan left.
Baker shares the home with family members, who were not home at the time.
After about a five-hour search, a Clallam County sheriff’s deputy spotted Logan walking along Deer Park Road as the deputy was leaving the area in his patrol car.
Logan was arrested without incident and booked into the Clallam County jail early Friday.
