PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles has lifted all of its Stage III water restrictions.
City Manager Nathan West lifted the restrictions Monday based on increased water levels in the Elwha River along with forecasts of additional rain, according to a city press release.
Restrictions were instituted Sept. 9 based low water levels in the Elwha River. The lowest levels were measured at 200 cubic feet per second (CFS) on Oct. 4.
The river is the city of Port Angeles’ primary source of water.
Water levels were measured to be 2,070 CFS on Friday.
In addition, Clallam County Public Utility District #1 has lifted the Stage III restrictions from the Gales Addition, Mount Angeles and Monroe water systems, which draw their water from the city of Port Angeles.
