PORT ANGELES — Michael Swirski, who relocated his @Play Internet Cafe to a street-level space on First Street earlier this year, said he hopes to reopen in the building after the space is repaired.
But that may take three to six months, so he’s looking at a temporary location so the cafe can get back @Play sooner.
“We want to make sure we’re up and running as fast as we can, because we do have a good niche in the community,” he said.
He estimates the cafe lost $75,000 to $100,000 in inventory, including video games and a new espresso machine.
Without power in the building, he hasn’t been able to test his seven computers, but he suspects they were also destroyed.
