PORT ANGELES — A computer lead seven months ago from German National Police could put a local man on the stand for allegedly stashing pornographic images of children on his computer.
An international investigation traced two Internet newsgroup postings of child pornography to 49-year-old Kenneth Alfred King, who could be charged Monday in Clallam County Superior Court.
King, of 4001 Blue Mountain Road, was arrested last Wednesday and is scheduled to appear before Judge Ken Williams at 1 p.m. Monday. Prosecutors are expected to file felony child pornography possession charges against him.
Judge George L. Wood on Thursday released King on his own recognizance.
Investigators seized King’s computer from his home last month after they obtained a search warrant.
An initial review of the computer’s hard drive revealed almost 1,000 pornographic images of children, said Soeren Poulsen, a Sequim computer forensics specialist who assisted Sheriff’s Detective Lyman Moores in the investigation.
