Medical oncologist Dr. Robert Witham and Olympic Medical Center have resolved their differences over Witham’s access to the hospital’s Olympic Medical Cancer Center in Sequim, CEO Mike Glenn announced Wednesday at a hospital commissioners meeting.
Witham, who did not attend the meeting, will oversee chemotherapy treatments one day a week at the cancer center and will have the private consultation space he wanted so he can see patients, Glenn said in a prepared statement to the commissioners.
“This solution meets Dr. Witham’s need to run his private practice in Sequim and have full and complete access to the cancer center to oversee his patients,” Glenn said.
“This solution meets our needs because it separates Dr. Witham’s private practice from a hospital-based service, yet allows for him to continue to be an important part of our cancer program.”
