SHELTON — The Port Angeles High School boys basketball team lost 48-47 to Shelton in a Narrows League game Friday night.
Scott Helpenstell led the Roughriders (3-3 in league, 7-5 overall) with 17 points.
Port Angeles let the game get away after leading 25-20 at halftime.
Shelton (3-3, 6-6) came out strong defensively in a low-scoring and decisive third quarter. The Highclimbers outscored Port Angeles 8-2 in the third period, and both teams scored 20 points in the fourth.
