PORT ANGELES — Heritage Weekend, a trip back through time to Port Angeles’ early days, continues today with walking and trolley tours.
Area residents and tourists took advantage of sunny skies and warm temperatures to enjoy the tours and other events Saturday.
The weatherman promises more good weather today.
Heritage Weekend, sponsored by First Federal Savings & Loan, features includes tours of downtown, including an old brothel and the Port Angeles Underground, historic homes, museum exhibits and even a visit to the top of the county courthouse for a view from inside the clock tower.
The 90-minute guided downtown walking tours start three times each hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., departing from the atrium at The Landing mall on Railroad Avenue.
Cost is $8 per person.
Guided trolley tours of historic homes depart from in front of The Landing at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Trolley tours also cost $8 per person, with sign-ups in the atrium.
Tours of the courthouse clocktower are limited in size, and the sign-up — also in The Landing’s atrium — is first-come, first-served.
Donations are accepted.
In addition, there’s a vintage car show today at City Pier, just east of The Landing mall atrium.
It is sponsored by Ruddell Auto Mall, and there is no charge.
