PORT ANGELES — A fourth hangar development to house 10 more airplanes will be going up this fall at William R. Fairchild International Airport.
Port commissioners unanimously approved a 30-year lease Monday with the Nieuport Group for a 50-foot-wide by 250-foot-long hangar site with a 25-foot-wide perimeter common area south of the fuel pumps.
The lease has two 10-year options and a clause allowing the Nieuport Group to assign it to a condominium owners association when that is formed.
The monthly rent will be $400 with annual inflation adjustments.
Nieuport Group member Jim Devany of Joyce said the five-person group hopes to begin site work on the hangars “momentarily” and have them completed in two months.
The development will feature 10 equal-sized hangars of 1,250 square feet, he said.
