PORT ANGELES — The downtown Saturday Farmers Market is on the move again, back to Laurel Street between Front and First streets.
After a one-weekend exile to a parking lot on West Front Street between Laurel and Oak streets, farmers market vendors will be returning to their regular location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
“We’re going to be on Laurel Street,” said farmers market board member Denise Brennan of Princess Valiant Coffee.
“We’re looking forward to seeing our customers in our usual spot.”
On Thursday, Clallam County District Court Judge Erik Rohrer lifted a temporary restraining order granted Nov. 4 that prohibited the farmers market from locating on Laurel Street on Saturdays.
That ruling followed the Port Angeles Planning Commission voting 3-2 Wednesday to approve an extension of the market’s conditional use permit until May 15, 2008.
The new permit allows year-round closure of one block of Laurel Street between Front and First streets from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
