PORT ANGELES — This Wednesday kicks off the first downtown farmers market — and first Concert on the Pier performance of the summer.
The Port Angeles Farmers Market will close one block of Laurel Street from First Street to Front Street every Wednesday afternoon through October 9.
The market will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature more than 40 vendors selling products including fresh organic produce, baked goods, crafts, beauty products, plants and fresh cut flowers.
To complement this new addition to downtown, Concert on the Pier has moved from Thursdays to Wednesdays, with band performances from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Pier.
Gypsy Joy Ride, which specializes in “Nawlins Fonk,” begins the 13-week series of free musical concerts.
