PORT ANGELES — Supporters of establishing an off-leash dog park — where dogs can run free — submitted a proposal and 708-signature petition to city officials Friday.
Members of the Port Angeles Dog Park Committee are asking the city for a site of an acre or more in a larger, low-use city park, said Andrew Gach, a founder of the committee.
Gach said although a specific park has not been selected by the committee, he feels a section of 147-acre Lincoln Park, located at 1900 W. Lauridsen Blvd., could be a good location for the dog park.
